Pastor John will be retiring on Nov. 22nd after 35 years in the ministry. He and Judy will be making their “post-retirement” home in the Black Hills . Westminster is planning a day of Worship, Fun, Food and Fellowship to mark the occasion. We hope you will all join us that day for worship. We will also be hosting a pie and coffee reception in their honor from 1 – 2 pm that afternoon. The last 8 years have held many memories and we hope you will come help us CELEBRATE this wonderful end to a wonderful career !

Sunday, Sept. 13th we return to our regular worship and Sunday School schedule. Sunday School will begin at 9:15 am with some singing of the old, familiar songs we have enjoyed for years. After that the classes will break into teams for the SUNDAY SCHOOL PLAYOFFS where we will Face Our Giants, Let The Spirit Blow, Stick to the Word, and Spread the Word in many different games.

Worship will return to it’s 10:30 am hour with a fellowship Coffee Time to follow. The choir is back and Rev. Pehrson plans to do some reflection on his 35 years in the ministry. Bibles will be presented to our 3rd graders and Children’s Church will be back in full swing again during the worship hour.

Westminster is excited to be a host site for over 100 enthusiastic riders ready to HIT THE ROAD on July 19th. We’re looking forward to seeing you all on the 18th. Welcome to our Home !!!

Vacation Bible School will be held at Westminster on August 3 – 6th. We will be learning about how we can serve other right here in our own back yard. Classes will be held for those age 3 – those who have just finished 5th grade and there is NO COST to attend. The excitement will begin every night at 6 pm with music & movement and a chance to visit with some of the people who live in our Big Backyard. We will then go to class, have some time for recreation and fun and make lots of crafts. We will end each night at 8 pm. A light supper will be served each night from 5:30 – 6 pm for those who would like to join us.

Summer is just around the corner and our worship hours will be changing. We will not be offering Sunday School during the Summer months and Worship will begin at 9:30 am … Hope to see you there !
