Westminster thanks the members of Serving The Lord Praise Band for sharing their talents, commitment to service and faith with us during morning worship today.

“For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; ” Romans 12:4-7

We know that during the summer many people are “on the road” … heading here and there, enjoying the summer months of weekend freedom and beautiful weather. Well – now it’s time to Get Back on that Other Road … The road that truly leads us all HOME …

Now that September has arrived, let’s make a concerted effort to get back into the habit of attending worship and Sunday School on a regular basis. We will be back on our Fall Schedule beginning next Sunday, Sept. 11th and we hope to see you all there – the CHOIR will be back up front, SUNDAY SCHOOL for all ages will begin at 9:15 and CHILDREN’S CHURCH will resume that day as well.

Whether you are here every Sunday , or have fallen out of the habit of coming … Rest assured, we’ll be looking for you !!!

It’s TIME !!! Sunday School and Children’s Church will be back starting on Sunday, Sept. 11th.
Our Rally Day plans are based around the Seasons … Experiencing an Unchanging God in an Ever Changing World !

We have some exciting plans made – and the traditional “Rally Day donuts” are on order so … See you on the 11th !

Thanks to everyone who supported our Benefit Rummage and Bake Sale last Saturday. We really try to teach our Sunday School kids each year about serving others and our Summer Service Project was a Rummage and Bake Sale to Benefit Noah’s Hope – a local animal rescue.

Due to the generosity of those who donated, baked, bought and much more – we are happy to report that we raised a little over $1100 to help this wonderful cause ! Thanks again !

We’re Clearing Out – For a Good Cause ….

The world is an uncertain place – but one thing remains constant … The NEED for the Hand of Christian Caring … and that is what we want to instill in our Sunday School kids. The CE Committee helps the kids of Westminster do a mission project every year. Our summer project will be a rummage sale to support Noah’s Hope, a local non-profit group working with rescued animals. YOU can help us show the kids that LOVING and HELPING OTHERS is more than just “church talk” …it’s “church action”!

Our Rummage Sale /Bake Sale will be held at the church on August 13th from 9 – 2.

If you aren’t in the market for THINGS but would like to support the cause, we will have tasty treats here to tempt your tastebuds !

If any of you have had a rummage you know that pricing those items is the most time consuming part of the experience so we have decided to trust the generosity of our members and friends – and all of Siouxland – by deciding that except for a few larger items we will not set a price for anything – trusting the “purchaser” to instead donate what they choose to donate to the cause while buying their goodies at the sale.

We hope you will “Interupt” your busy Saturday schedule to help us with this great cause …
